8 Delicious Flavored Vodka Soda Ideas
Join me as I take a traditional vodka soda recipe to the next level with these 8 Delicious Flavored Vodka Soda Ideas. The best part is these cocktails have only two ingredients and are low in sugar too. It’s a must-try summer cocktail recipe!
Confession time. During the past few months of quarantine, I’ve had two big obsessions that I can’t seem to break. One of them isn’t bad at all. The other one is a little concerning.
Obsession number one is flavored soda water! Specifically, I’m obsessed with the Bubly brand of sparkling water. And I’ve made it a personal mission to try every single flavor available to determine which one I like the best.
As of now, I’m putting in writing that my favorite flavor is the Blueberry Pomegranate variety of Bubly. I picked it up at Publix over the Memorial Day weekend and it’s absolutely incredible. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend it!
Obsession number two, the not-so-good-one, is creating and drinking cocktails. Since quarantine began back in March, my consumption of alcohol has increased quite a bit. And if that wasn’t bad enough, I’ve been dragging you all along with me as I share weekly cocktail concoctions in a series I like to call, Thirsty Thursdays.
What can I say, I don’t like to drink alone! And I really enjoy putting the videos together for you all so I’m not throwing in the towel just yet.
Instead of giving up cocktail time altogether, I’m definitely not ready for that, I’m trying my best to make cocktails low in sugar. My personal goal is to still be able to enjoy my drink without the added feeling of bloat and blah.
Now that Memorial Day is behind us, and the summer is basically in full-swing here in Florida, I need to start doing my part to get my “summer bod” in check! Are you with me?!
Vodka and club soda have been a go-to summer drink for eons because of the fact that it is one of the lowest sugar cocktails. Add to the mix that it is refreshing too and it’s no wonder why people indulge in these cocktails over the summertime.
If I’m being honest, though, a traditional vodka with club soda cocktail is a little too bland for me. A squeeze of fresh lime helps a bit, but I personally enjoy some fruitiness to my summer drinks like in this Strawberry Vodka Lemonade.
Lucky for me, and you too since you’re here, flavored soda waters like Bubly have zero calories and no added sweeteners. It’s basically club soda on steroids!
And in case you’re counting calories, vodka has the least amount of calories per shot at about 100 calories per every 1 ½ oz. Plus, the list of flavored-vodkas currently available is so long that I probably couldn’t even name them all if I wanted to.
So for today’s Thirsty Thursday, I’ve compiled a list of flavor combinations that I know will take your normal Vodka Soda to the next level. Each of the 8 varieties will feature flavored soda water, flavored vodka, and some fruit to garnish with for that extra touch.
