Stitch Fix Review: August 2019 Fix 49
My obsession with Stitch Fix runs deep! This was my 49th Fix and I’m already excited for my next box. Per usual, my August 2019 Stitch Fix box was a huge success and definitely didn’t disappoint. Come see what I received, how the items looked on me, and what I decided to keep.

It’s finally happening, friends. I am officially posting a real deal Stitch Fix review on my blog. It has only taken me forty-nine Stitch Fix boxes to do it, but here it is!
Although I’ve already written a massive blog post of all my tricks and tips for scoring the best Stitch Fix boxes possible (you can find it here), I’ve yet to actually post a full unboxing on the site.
In my mind, I figured people could care less about what items I received in my Stitch Fix box. It wasn’t until I mustered up the courage to model the clothes on my Instagram stories that I realized people were actually really excited about seeing my Stitch Fix items.
For the past several months, I’ve been trying on my Stitch Fix items for my Instagram followers and letting them vote to decide if I should keep the item or not. You can see my previous stories and all the Stitch Fix items by clicking on the “fashion” highlight icon on my profile.
I plan on continuing my Instagram fashion shows each month but will now follow it up with a blog post to share what I ended up doing with each of the items in my Stitch Fix box. I’ll also share the item names, cost, and “all that jazz” so you can get a better idea of how this whole Stitch Fix subscription works.
Briefly, this is how Stitch Fix describes their services on their website:

August 2019 Stitch Fix Items
My stylist, Sierra, did a fabulous job this month sending me items that meshed well with my personality. Prior to each Stitch Fix shipment, you have the opportunity to leave a note for your stylist to let them know what items you’re interested in seeing in your upcoming box. This time around, Sierra actually asked me in my July Fix to look in my closet and let her know some holes I was seeing in my wardrobe. Interestingly, I noticed that I was lacking some basic tee’s and those go-to items that are easy to mix and match for any day of the week.
Let’s see how Sierra did on making this happen for me!
41 Hawthorn – Zansia Curved Hem Knit Top $58
My thoughts: This shirt is extremely soft. It’s a little thicker than a regular cotton t-shirt which I think will be great for the summer/fall transition period. The length is perfect, just long enough to cover my booty, so I was able to pair it with some gray leggings and my Tory Burch riding boots.

Warp + Weft – Becca Distressed Released Hem Skinny Jean $98
My thoughts: I absolutely love receiving jeans in my Stitch Fix boxes. Believe it or not, Stitch Fix is actually known for pairing their customers up with amazing jeans that fit their body perfectly. My favorite part about these jeans is the fact that they are stretchy. These will be perfect going into the holidays because I KNOW I will need some extra space in my pants for all the goodies I’ll be consuming. I also really love the color, distressed look and the hem at the bottom of these jeans.

Violet & Red – Fanny Perforated Slingback Wedge $89
My thoughts: I am all about the wedges! I’m really not kidding either. I would probably have to say that the majority of the shoes in my closet are in the wedge style. With a husband who is 6’3”, I always feel more comfortable wearing a heel to add some height to my 5-foot body. I don’t want to look like a midget next to him. Wedges are the most comfortable way for me to add those extra few inches. These wedges, in particular, are amazing! I love the black perforated design of these shoes so much and I feel they’ll be perfect for fall in Florida. I’m literally in love with these shoes.

Item #4 Bobeau – Winston Open Waterfall Cardigan $58
My thoughts: I specifically asked for a black cardigan from my Stitch Fix stylist, Sierra. After looking in my closet, I realized I had a million cardigans and not a single one in black. The ruffles on this cardigan give it a feminine look and a little bit of extra character. I love the length of the cardigan and the ultra-soft material too.

My decision: KEEP
Item #5 Market & Spruce – Trumer V-Neck Knit Top $28
My thoughts: I’m obsessed with the olive color of this shirt. It really goes well with my skin tone. The material of the shirt is a little stretchy which makes it super comfy to wear on any given day. It’s a fairly long t-shirt so I tucked it inside the front of my jeans and let it hang down in the back. Because of the longer length, I can easily see myself pairing this top with black leggings and an oversized cardigan once the weather cools down. I just love how versatile this top is!

Final thoughts for my August 2019 Stitch Fix Box
I pretty much loved it all! If you did the math, I kept all five items in my August 2019 Stitch Fix box. It has actually been a pretty long time since I’ve kept all 5 items. The positive thing about keeping all 5 is you receive a 25% discount from Stitch Fix which is always a nice feeling. Altogether, with the discount and sales tax, my total for the 5 items was $264.40. For two shirts, a pair of jeans, cardigan, and shoes, I was pretty pleased with that.
Are you ready to try Stitch Fix?
If you’ve been thinking about trying Stitch Fix but haven’t, I encourage you to take advantage of my referral code so you can receive $25 off your first Fix. I”ve followed your Stitch Fix on Instagram when you model all the clothes. Actually, Tiffany–you look great in everything! And I think your size 0 helps! The clothes are darling and you look amazing in everything. However–I have a question–do you miss not going to the stores and looking at all the things and trying them on? What is your main motivation for using Stitch Fix? Ease? I’ve looked into it–but never taken the dive. Thanks for all the tips! Valuable post–as always! And good luck with all those hurricanes–I’ll be hoping and praying for you guys!
Great questions, Sharlene. I think the main reason I started with Stitch Fix was because I struggled stepping out of my comfort zone in terms of my wardrobe. I always seemed to buy the same styles, colors, etc. I wanted to try new things but didn’t know where to begin. Stitch Fix has helped me step out of my comfort zone and now I find myself being more adventurous when shopping on my own. The ease of shopping is definitely a plus too! You should definitely try it at least once. It’s like Christmas every time I get a Fix.
