You can call me obsessed with Stitch Fix all you want. I don’t care one bit because I am! Plus, after 50 fixes, I can’t really deny it with a straight face.
My name is Tiffany and I’m a Stitch Fix obsessor. There, I said it to the world!
For the past several months, I’ve been trying on my Stitch Fix items for my Instagram followers and letting them vote to decide if I should keep the item or not. You can see my previous stories and all the Stitch Fix items by clicking on the “fashion” highlight icons on my profile.
It wasn’t until just last month (You can find my Stitch Fix review for August 2019 here), that I decided to follow up my Instagram fashion shows with a blog post to share what I ended up doing with each of the items in my Stitch Fix box.
I don’t know why it took me so long to figure out people might want to know the end results…I blame it on all the fried brain cells I’ve lost from staring at a computer screen all day!
I’m sure you might be wondering, “What is Stitch Fix anyway?”
Here’s a brief summary for how Stitch Fix describes their services on their website:

Stitch Fix Review: September 2019 Fix 50
My stylist, Sierra, had a tough job ahead of her. I say this because I pretty much gave her no direction in terms of what I was looking for in this fix. Each month, before receiving a Stitch Fix box, you’re encouraged to send a note to your stylist giving them some ideas in regards to what items you might be looking for in your upcoming shipment. I ended up moving my September shipment to a much sooner date and I didn’t get a chance to write anything down for Sierra. I left it all in her hands. Come take a look at my items!
Item #1 41 HAWTHORN Tonnie V Neck Reversible Knit Top $44
My thoughts: This plum animal print top is adorable! The best part is it’s reversible too. On one side you have the cute animal print, but if you flip it inside out, you also have a solid plum color shirt to wear. The material is soft, stretchy and super comfortable. It’s sleeveless and a v-neck which I feel is the perfect combo for this time of the year. You can wear the shirt as is during the hotter parts of the day but easily throw on a denim jacket or blazer when the temperatures drop.
My biggest complaint about the shirt was the length. Normally, I like a little bit of length to my tops but this one seemed to come down just a little too far. It’s not a shirt I can tuck in either so the length was definitely an issue.

Item #2 DEMOCRACY Natalie Straight Leg Jean $68
My thoughts: A few fixes ago, I asked my stylist, Sierra, for black distressed jeans. I found a cute pair at Old Navy in the interim but I always love the quality of the jeans Stitch Fix sends me and I really want a black pair from them. Unfortunately, Sierra has not come across any jeans to fit my request. This time around, she tried sending me these straight-leg black jeans instead. I found them to be super comfortable but they were a little too baggy for my liking. Also, they were about two inches too long for me even in petite. I guess these just weren’t the ones for me!

Item #3 MARKET & SPRUCE Izara Shirt Dress $68
My thoughts: Yep, this one is a keeper! I love everything about this dress. It’s the perfect fall dress to wear with a pair of riding boots like the ones I’m sporting from Tory Burch. The flannel material of the dress is so soft and comfortable. I love that the dress has a tiny belt to wrap around in the waist area. This keeps the dress from just hanging there like a big bag over me. The sleeves are long but you can roll them up and secure them nicely with the added little strap and button sewn into the sleeve. This was my absolute favorite piece from this month’s Stitch Fix box hands down.

Item #4 41 HAWTHORN Laura Cross Front Blouse $64
My thoughts: This black blouse was a popular one for me on Instagram. My followers really liked this one and it received the second most votes only to the cute flannel dress I just mentioned above. I must say, there was a ton going on with this blouse. It’s definitely not your basic black shirt. It gives the illusion that there are actually two shirts when in reality there’s only one. There’s an underlayer that looks like a simple v-neck shirt. On top of that, there’s some additional fabric that crosses in the front and exposes the layer underneath. It’s a regular length in the front but then comes all the way past my bottom in the back. I tried it tucked in with a high waisted skirt for a date night look and then pulled out with a pair of jeans. I was completely on the fence about keeping this item or not. I really liked it but wasn’t sure I would wear it enough to pay $64 for it.

Item #5 RENEE C Leena Printed Skirt $48
My thoughts: This was a nice surprise in my September Stitch Fix box. I haven’t received a skirt in quite a while and this one was so cute. The last skirt I received was a mini and I wasn’t really feeling it. Sierra sent me this high waisted skirt this time around and the length was definitely more to my liking. I loved the design and feel of the material, but the skirt didn’t seem to lay right on me. I was constantly pulling it down while trying to take pictures of it for this post. It was pretty annoying and not something I would want to worry about when wearing this item.

Final Thoughts: My Stitch Fix Review: September 2019 Fix 50
Ultimately, I would describe my September fix as the perfect transition from the summer to fall season. I liked all the pieces I received in my box this time around but I wasn’t in love with them. When everything was said and done, I only opted to keep the flannel t-shirt dress from my September fix. I felt the dress was a unique piece that I could see myself wearing over and over again this season. The other items were cute, but not items I feel I would get enough use out of.

Thanks, Hanit! Hope you’re doing well. 💜
Tiffany–Stitch Fix looks like so much fun! And I love all your fashion shows on Instagram! This seems like such a fun way to shop for clothes–but do you miss not going to the mall and checking out EVERYTHING? I think I would miss that. However, like you and so many others–I LOVE the flannel dress–darling and with the Tory Burch boots–it’s perfect! And I really like the white skirt with the print–I thought it looked darling on you (what’s wrong with those IG people?). Can’t wait for the next showcase of clothes!
I actually find myself spending less time in the mall these days because of Stitch Fix. Most of the shopping I do at the mall is for workout clothes and not day to day items because Stitch Fix handles that for me. My Stylist, Sierra, has pretty much spoiled me at this point! As far as the skirt, I loved it too but it kept riding up in the front every time I moved and it was a little annoying. The dress was my favorite by far! 💜
